BATA awards State Representative Marlene Anielski with "Legislator of the Year" Mental Health Champion Award

State Representative Marlene Anielski is currently serving her fourth term in the Ohio House of Representatives. She represents the 6th House District, which includes portions of Cuyahoga County. Growing up in northeastern Ohio, Representative Anielski is the former mayor of Walton Hills. She earned her Masters of Business Administration from Cleveland State University and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Akron. Representative Anielski has actively participated in numerous national, state and community organizations.

Representative Anielski has been committed to improving the lives in our community.  Her focus on suicide prevention and mental health awareness is inspiring.  She has also been committed to helping veterans and in providing the support they need when returning to the community.  She works tirelessly to strengthen our community with combatting opioid addiction and drug abuse, and providing support to the elderly, disabled, ill, and abused.

BATA is thrilled to award Representative Marlene Anielski with “Legislator of the Year Award” for Outstanding Mental Health Champion.  She is very well deserving of this award as she has continued to show strong dedication for human services throughout her career. We appreciate her advocacy work for families, seniors, youth, and the organizations that provide opportunities for strategies that focus on mental health and the success of all. We are also grateful for Representative Anielski’s dedication to effective healthcare and the continuation of vital services that strengthen the entire community. Thank you to Publications Chair Diane Fleisch-Hughes who created her award. We are very excited to present this to Representative Anielski, and our congratulations to her!
