CANCELED
Who do you THINK you are…Mind and Body?
…an invitation to “KNOW THYSELF” through the arts
Don Jones, aka the “father of art therapy”, will use graphics, music, poetry, original films
and dynamic, expressive art therapy techniques, to guide participants on an exploration
beneath and beyond their autobiographical selves … to get to know that which some call Soul.
“Soul”…as soul-man-James Brown, soul-food, heart, mind, preconscious, being, center, flow, enlightenment, prayer, nirvana, ‘neuroaesthetically’ labeled “AUB, absolute unitary being”,
finally, the “I” and the “ME”
Quotes and references from Plato's divine frenzy to Picasso's, "We should call it sacred!“
will provide a pathway to seeking the soul-source of the human creative arts impulse.
Discussion will be guided by Freud’s comment that imagery is the “royal road’ to the
unconscious and examine the influence of Jung’s perception of the Artist of The Soul.
