Celebrating Cleveland's Cultures: Art Therapy Studio's Creative Confections Dessert Competition

BENEFITING THE ART THERAPY STUDIO

 

Cleveland has a rich cultural history defined by immigrants from around the world who first settled in this region.  This year, the Art Therapy Studio will celebrate Cleveland's Cultures at its 18th Creative Confections Dessert Competition on Saturday, October 13 at the Bohemian National Hall in Slavic Village.  Beginning at 7pm, guests will be able to celebrate these cultures with sweet confections inspired by ethnic traditions. Unlimited sampling of the artistic desserts from all 30 chefs in the competition as well as hors d'oeuvres will also be offered to guests.

 

Chef Roland Mesnier, former White House executive pastry chef to five US presidents, will be serving as Honorary Chair. He will share anecdotes and sweet perspectives on the first families and presidential administrations. His beautiful cookbooks will be available for purchase and this generous French-American culinary genius will be available to sign your copy with all proceeds to benefit the Art Therapy Studio.

 Individual tickets for the event are $65. Patron tickets are available for $100 and include program recognition. A raffle drawing will also be held at the event. The grand prize is a one-week stay in a charming Quidnet Island Cottage on the Piscataqua River on Badger's Island, Kittery, Maine. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25.
